We drove to Ogden, UT last night and got in just before midnight. We were a bit nervous in Evanston, WY as just before there it had started to snow. Gratefully, we decided to go on into Utah-the canyon was completely dry (but not the next morning).
Andrew woke up with some awesome hair!
After a quiet morning of telling stories (one day I will need to write how every day Lexie asks us to tell her a story about when she or Mom or Dad was little) , eating a yummy breakfast and showers and we were off. The roads between Ogden and Burley, ID were pretty icky, but past there it was nice and dry. We had a pretty quiet afternoon and waited for all of the cousins to arrive. It was nice. Christmas Eve evening, Grandpa read the Nativity story for us and then Aunt Stephanie put a little game together for each of the kids to pass/get a present. It was clever and they had fun. They got a flashlight necklace with a bell. They could earn beads during the week being caught by an adult doing good things. If they earned 20 beads they got to pick out a prize.
Then it was off to bed and time to chat lots while filling up the stockings so we could head to bed! Here's what the great room looked like before the kids started to stir.
Our family's stockings all filled with care.
